The Ertzaintza arrested a 48-year-old man in Bilbao on Friday morning on charges ofdamage to the facade of a building in the Atxuri district, which began on mattressesnext to a dumpster at the foot of the building.
Around 04:30 on Friday morning, emergency services were alerted to the burning of mattresses in the street in the Atxuri neighbourhood of the capital city of Biscay and a nearby facade. Artzaintza patrol immediately went to the scene and, after checking what had beensaid, mobilized the firefighters to put out the fire. Anbulancia has also approached in a preventive manner, but no injuries have been reported.
The acting officers have identified a man in the area after learning that he has been recording the incident with a mobile phone . Day the relevant checks have been carried out and he has been arrested for a crime of damage.
The detainee has been transferred to the Bilbao Police Station to carry out the necessary police procedures and is expected to be brought before the judicial authority within the next few hours.
