The epicenter of the 7.4 degree earthquake was in San José del Palmar, in the department of Choco, in the Pacific region, with the latest data showing 3,975 injured and 45,523 families affected, in addition to the destruction of 12,828 homes.

The 7.4 magnitude earthquake in the north-west of the country has killed 273 people and injured some 3900.

At least 240 people have died, thousands have been injured, and hundreds of buildings have collapsed as a result of the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that has struck Colombia, while search teams continue to work against the clock to find potential survivors under the buildings.
