About a year ago the labor dispute broke out, workers from both companies have appeared.  They believe management has "a covert closure plan."  130 jobs and several families have been reported to be "in danger." 

In a statement, the works council has denounced that the company "has announced its intention to move 40% of its production to other workplaces, which is a relocation that threatens the future of the Madelas de Llodio plant and our region." 

The pensioners' movementhas protested that the People's Legislative Initiative (HEL) to supplement pensions to the Interprofessional Minimum Wage (SMI) has not been taken into consideration by the Government. On the other hand, the LAB unionhas denounced the "judicial offensive" against the Euskera in public employment processes.

ELA, LAB, ESK, Steilas, Hiru and Etxalde will also mobilize on 20 September to demand that PNV and PSE-EE "rectify" their position and process an initiative to equate the minimum pension with the minimum wage.

The Works Council — LAB has three representatives and ELA, CC.00 and UGT, two — has asked the management to "suspend collective dismissal."

ELA, LAB, ESK, Steilas, Hiru and Etxalde hope that the political parties will support the initiative and that the Basque Parliament will approve the proposal before the end of the year .

The union has appreciated the "great effort" of the forest firefighters, as well as the support of farmers, citizens and associations that have helped put out the fires this summer.

The trade unions ELA, LAB, ESK, Steilas, Hiru and Etxalde have described the campaign as a 'tremendous success' and have closed the collection of signatures before the deadline so that 'the Basque Parliament can demand the competence of the minimum wage as soon as possible'.

According to the annual report on trade union action presented by the union, 61% of the conflicts have focused on collective bargaining and the defence of public services. Territorially, the largest number of conflicts have taken place in Bizkaia, but in terms of the number of workers, most of the fighting has taken place in Álava. 

The gardeners of Vitoria-Gasteiz demonstrated on Monday in front of the Basque Government and Enviser, the company contracted by the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz for the maintenance of the gardens, denouncing that they have already been on strike for four months to demand their own agreement and wage improvements, and that no progress has been made in the negotiation.

They believe that the proposal does not take into account the profits made by companies in recent years, nor the productivity generated by their workforce, and therefore does not aim at 'social cohesion or fair distribution of wealth'.

The Department of Economy, Employment and Employment proposes a wage gap after analysing the socio-economic reality of the Basque Country. The study has been strongly criticized by ELA and LAB and calls for an interprofessional minimum wage of its own for the ACV.

The unions called an assembly for the workers to give their opinion on this proposal in a vote, and finally ELA, LAB and ESK have reached an agreement to reject the offer and have a vote by the workers.

The union has concentrated in front of the PNV headquarters in Bilbao to demand the withdrawal of the decree approved by the Basque Government. It has argued that another housing policy is possible; it believes that the public park for social rent must be mobilized, not only by building new housing, but also by mobilising existing housing.

The Basque Government has submitted to the trade unions and the management of Enviser a proposal to end the indefinite strike of workers, which envisages a wage increase of CPI + 2.2% for this year, 2% for 2026 and 2027 and 2250 euros for 2028. Enviser has accepted this approach, while ESK and LAB consider the increase "insufficient", although they have committed themselves to transferring the proposal to internal bodies.

The union denounces that "mass fraud" is not absenteeism, but the declaration of occupational diseases as a common disease.

On Friday, the Basque Government and Councillor Alberto Martínez are seeking an agreement with a "broad consensus." However, EH Bildu has called for further discussion to "untie the knots." Summary and LAB have announced that they will not support a pact involving private companies.
