The report of the General Council of the Judiciary is mandatory but not binding. The Commission has ascertained that Peramato fulfils the merits and conditions of his appointment as Attorney-General of the State: fifteen years of professional practice as a renowned lawyer. Peramato will now need the approval of the Justice Committee of the Congress of Deputies.
