They announce changes in the baremation of psychotechnics in the Ertzaintza OPEs, after 90% failed the previous one
Counsellor Bingen Zupiria has presented to the Governing Council the Ertzaintza Employment Plan, which aims to have 8,000 officers by 2028, and has announced a new OPE of 150 places.
The Basque Government's Department of Security has announced changes inthe tightening of the psychotechnical test of the Ertzaintza OPEs, after 90% of the 3,609 candidates in the previous call failed in theoretical and psychotechnical examinations.
The announcement was made by Counsellor Bingen Zupiria at a press conference following the Governing Council, where she presented the Ertzaintza Employment Plan, which aims, among other things, to reach 8,000 officers by 2028.
That is why, in view of the fact that 270 of the 473 places offered by the previous call may be vacant, it has announced the launch of a new OPE offering 150 jobs.
The Counsellor reports that there will be changes in the way in which the psychotechnical test of this call is evaluated, since in the previous call most of the candidates failed in that test.
On previous occasions, it was necessary to pass each of the four stages of this test in order to be able to overcome the psychotechnical phase, but now it will be necessary to exceed the sum of these four phases (with a minimum of 60 points out of 120) and it will not be necessary to exceed each stage individually.
The psychotechnical test will remain discriminatory and mandatory, like the rest of the process.
With this new call for the 35th promotion, the aim is to award vacant places in the previous promotion, so that, although 150 places have initially been removed, the possibility of awarding 473 has been left open.
Persons who pass all stages of the offer of employment shall be appointed as trainees and shall take a training course at the Basque Academy of Police and Emergencies in Arkaute, and shall then undergo internship at a police station.
In order to be an official of the Ertzaintza, they must pass the training course and the internship period.
Conditions
This Tuesday opens the registration deadline for the 35th Promotion.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age and under 38 years of age, and must also be required to hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent or a higher degree.
All posts are assigned the first linguistic profile of the Ertzaintza (equivalent to 2 of the Administration) and 120 have expired the date of preceptivity.
The Ertzaintza Employment Plan was approved in July of this year at the Ertzaintza Negotiating Table by a vote in favour of the ERNE, ESAN and SIPE unions and will be submitted to the Basque Parliament after passing through the Governing Council.
