The new C5 line between Karrantza and Aranguren will be launched on 6 May

The Counsellor for Sustainable Mobility Susana García Chueca and the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility Jose Antonio Santano have presented the new service of commuter trains between Karrantza and Aranguren (Zalla) and have explained in the presentation that the Basque Government willinvest up to 900 000 euros per year.
In addition to this new line, there will be the Renfe suburban train service managed by the Basque Government, as before: C1 (Bilbao-Santurtzi), C2 (Bilbao-Muskiz), C3 (Bilbao-Orduña) and C4 (Bilbao-Balmaseda).
The new service will have the following stations: Carranza, Villaverde de Trucioz, Artzentales, Traslaviña, Mimetiz (Zalla) and Aranguren (Zalla).
At Aranguren Station, passengers will have to change trains, they will be able to make the change with the trains on line C4 linking Bilbao and Almaseda, with an average of 94 000 passengers per month.
