Tubos Reunion workers hold an assembly to decide the future of the indefinite strike
It's a lot of tension at the Amurrio factory after the latest trade union movements and the change of scenery after the creditor competition.
Tubos Reunion workers have been meeting since 9:00 at the Amurrio plant to redefine the strategy of the labor dispute and the course of the indefinite strike.
The unions have come to the Assembly divided in favour of some workers returning to work after the company went into creditor competition.
In the last few hours, LAB has opened its doors to reconsider the continuation of the strike, which may change the internal balance between the unions. So far, CCOO and UGT have been in favour of studying the end of unemployment, ELA has kept the doubt and ESK has advocated continuing the strike.
The position that LAB is going to take has been decisive, because if you join the parties that are proposing to stop unemployment or vote, you could form a majority in favour of returning to work.
In this way, the course of the conflict will reach a key point, with the staffing division and a scenario marked by the company's creditor competition, which has changed the negotiating framework and trade union strategies.
