ELA announces mobilizations for autumn to negotiate working conditions for all groups in Osakidetza
At a rally in front of the Amara Berri outpatient clinic in San Sebastián, ELA denounced the "unwillingness" of the Department of Health to address the structural problems of Osakidetza, as well as the fact that the Basque Government only takes measures to improve working conditions when an active conflict is under way .
The union has once again condemned the agreement signed with the SME, which, while it does not provide solutions to the problems of the medical community, promotes overtime and leaves out the other professional categories. ELA recalls that wage improvements do not require an increasein the workload and calls for the hiring of 2,000 more doctors in four years to gradually eliminate guards and self-consultation.
For this reason, ELA has announced thatit will promote strikes and mobilizations in the autumn. The union has indicated that it is working to promote a strike of sufficient intensity and duration and has begun to prepare for the negotiation of a new agreement regulating working conditions for all groups.
