The N-240 road in the port of Barazar, in the municipality of Zeanuri, was completely cut off this morning as a result of the accident involving a lorry in the direction of Bilbao, according to the Basque Government's Department of Safety, whose driver was slightly injured.
The accident occurred around 11:25, when a tanker truck overturned, lost its cargo and poured liquid into the road.
The Department of Safety and Security has indicated that cleaning work is expected to take a long time.
