A fire broke out this morning in a building inthe Guipuzcoana town of Elgoibar and forced the eviction of some 30 neighbours living next door, some of whom had to spend the night in a hostel in the town, according to the fire brigade and the Basque Government's Department of Security.
The fire started around 00:30 in a house on St Bartholomew's Street , but there were no injuries.
As aresult of the fire, about 14 families from nearby portals have been evicted from their homes, some 30 people, some of whomhave spent the night at a hostel in .
Elgoibar City Council has reported that mostof them have already returned to their homes.
The damaged building is located in the centre and has wooden structures , the fire brigade said.You might like
