Navarre Government cancels forest fire risk emergency plan
The Foral Government has taken this decision because of the weather conditions planned for the next few days, according to SOS Navarra.
The Government of Navarre has repealed the Special Forest Fire Risk Plan (INFONA) that was established in the territory in view of the development of fires in the Community.
SOS Navarra has reported that the decision was taken this morning by the Foral Government due to the weather conditions forecast for the next few days .
After the heat wave that has lasted more than a week, yesterday temperatures dropped about 10 degrees in Navarre.
The risk of fire in Navarre has been "very high" or "extreme" for many days, so the Foral Government activated level 2 of the aforementioned plan so that the Spanish Government could provide the means to extinguish the Carcastillo fire .
Once the fire was under control, it went down to level 1 and yesterday the Councilor of the Interior, Amparo Lopez, announced that the pre-emergency situation had been declared by the Government of Navarre.
