According to the same sources, around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, a patrol of the Ertzaintza received a call to go to a house outside the capital city, after receiving an alert warning that the woman living there was not in good condition.
The officers who came to the scene heard a woman screaming from inside the house for help.

They found her unable to leave the room , and with clear signs of abandonment.
The health services took him to the hospital, where he stayed.
The house was generally in deplorable hygienic condition and several dogs with signs of malnutrition were found inside.
In view of all this, his son was arrested on charges of domestic abuse, illegal detention, family abandonment and animal abuse.
