The environmental badge will be mandatory from this Monday to enter the Old Town of Pamplona

On Monday, the Pamplona Low Emission Zone, which covers the entire Old Town of the city, borders Taconera Street, Navas de Tolosa Street, Paseo de Sarasate, Duque de Ahumada Street, Juan de Labrit Street, Vergel Street and Santo Domingo Street, so the environmental badge will be mandatory to access this area.
Access to this area will be subject to environmental classification, so that vehicles with labels 0, Eco, B and C, as well as authorized vehicles, will be able to travel there, as reported by the City of Pamplona in a statement.
However, in some casesenvironmental differentiation will not be mandatory. This is the case, for example, if you are a resident of Sector 1 (Old Town) or Sarasate (Sector 2).
Similarly, vehicles of persons with reduced or dependent mobility, garage owners or those who have to park in a public parking lot, owners of shops and hotels, emergency vehicles, construction, modification or repair vehicles and public transport shall not be transported.
Nor will the use of the stops on the streets Mercado and Juan de Labrit be required.
On the other hand, environmental restrictions include vehicles for loading and unloading packages of up to 3.5 cubic metres of cargo volume (which will not be mandatory for larger ones), hotel customers without parking, vehicles involved in distributing food at home and organizing events.
An environmental badge will also be required for punctual access to the streets of the Old Town for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Failure to comply with these rules shall be considered a serious offence and a fine of 200 euros (100 euros if paid immediately) shall be imposed.
