The Departmentof Food, Rural Development, Agriculture and Fisheries of the Basque Government has today approved the new orderupdating precautionary measures against Nodular Contagious Dermatosis (DNK) , adapting preventive and control measures to the evolution of the epidemiological situation. The previous order of 19 December 2025 is repealed. 
 
The new order contains the following measures:
 
- The new order prohibitsthe presence of cattle in fairs, competitions, exhibitions, rural sports, romeries, markets and temporary events held throughout the Basque Autonomous Community. However, the Member States may exceptionally authorise the presence of cattle on the same farm, provided that at the end of the exercise the animals are returned to their original farm and the health risk is assessed individually.
