Dismantled a gang of criminals who raided homes in Álava and Gipuzkoa
The Civil Guard and the Mossos d'Espadra have broken up a gang of criminals who committed house robberies in a joint operation in which four people have been arrested and 25 charged with robbery with force.
According to a statement, the four members of this criminal group are charged with these robberies in homes in Madrid, Álava, Gipuzkoa, Barcelona, Girona and Cantabria.
That same afternoon, this wandering group even went in to rob four and five houses. The group consisted of four individuals specializing in house robberies.
The alleged perpetrators acted at dusk, taking advantage of the fact that the victims were not inside, and they entered the houses after crossing perimeter barriers and violently opening one of the windows, in order to steal valuables such as jewellery, watches, and money.
On 19 January, in Lleida, the entire criminal group was arrested as they returned from robbery in Álava.
The operation involved more than 6,000 euros in cash, jewellery and other items worth more than 100,000 euros .
In total, they are charged with 25 crimes against property for theft committed in Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Álava, Gipuzkoa and Cantabria.
However, the investigation remains open and it is not ruled out that the gang is linked to another 20 crimes in 2025.
