Bullying students will be expelled from school in Navarre
The new Foral Decree on Coexistence also provides for the expulsion of pupils from school in serious cases of ill-treatment or violence. The measure aims to protect victims and ensure their emotional well-being .
Bullying or cyberbullying students will be expelled from the school where the attack took place in Navarre. They will also be sent from the center for male assault or other abuse.
This is reflected in the draft new Foral Decree on Coexistence drawn up by the Department of Education of the Government of Navarre, which has been sent today to the Transparency Portal of the Government Foru to collect contributions and will replace the decree in force since 2010.
It is a question of strengthening coexistence in schools and protecting victims, for which the decree contains new measures, including ensuring the emotional well-being of victims by providing a safe environment.
A number of conditions shall be taken into account for the transfer of harassers from one school to another, including that of the same network and the maintenance of the same language model.
There shall also be exceptions, and if the transfer to another centre does not guarantee the proper conditions of schooling of the pupil, other measures may be taken in the same centre, such as the possibility of being sent home for a fortnight, and theregistration may be revoked when the aggressors are of age.
For the first time, the new decree takes into account mental health as one of the variables for measuring school coexistence.
