The former nuns of Belorado have begun to leave the convent on the order of dismissal
Two of the seven former nuns have been emptying the monastery in the morning, and the remaining five have left the convent before. They are taking their things to their relatives' houses, but it appears that they will be transferred, at least for some time, to the convent of Orduña (Bizkaia).
The former nunsof Belorado have already begun to remove their belongings from the convent, three days before the deadline given by the Court of Instance of Briviesca (Burgos) to leave the nuns' house, for by 12 March they must leave the convent by court order.
Two of the seven former nuns have been emptying the cenobio in the morning, according to spokesman Francisco Canals, and the other five have already left the convent, even though they have made some journeys to help the nuns still in the convent.
Canals insisted it would take them longer to find another home because they're not sure where they're going to live yet.
That's why they're taking their things to family homes, and it looks like they're being moved to theconvent in Orduña (Bizkaia) for a while.
The spokesman has assured that the former nuns will no longer be in the convent when the judicial commission arrives (9:30 a.m. on March 12) and that the lawyers will be responsible for handing over the keys to the premises.
Former nun Sor Paloma has stated in a video that what they are suffering is "persecution of the faith "because" there is no need for such persecution of some buildings ", referring to the measures taken by the Archbishop of Burgos.
