The Government of Navarre will create a suicide prevention observatory involving multidisciplinary professionals
The Navarre Department of Health has presented a strategy for the prevention and care of persons with suicidal behaviour, which last year resulted in 39 suicide deaths in Navarre.

At a time when suicide is a public health problem, the Government of Navarre has decided to address the issue and set up a suicide prevention observatory, one of the measures included in the new strategy for the prevention and care of persons with suicidal behaviour in Navarre.
The Observatory will be located at the Navarro Institute of Public Health and will involve professionals from different fields. In addition to experts from the Department of Health, experts from beste departments will analyse how to deepen suicide prevention.
The Health Adviser, Fernando Domínguez, and the Director-General of Health, Antonio López, presented this morning in Navarre the strategy for the prevention and care of persons with suicidal behaviour, which aims to strengthen the capacity of organizations to prevent suicide, improve early risk detection and ensure coordinated and effective care for persons affected.
