They called a demonstration this afternoon in Berriz to denounce Monday's serious macho attack

The Berriz Feminist Movementcalled a loud demonstration for the afternoon deia to denounce Monday's severe macho attack on the township. 

The march will depart at 18:30 in front of the City Hall and all the citizens have been called to participate in the protest because, according to the Berriz Feminist Movement, it is essential that  "provide a strong and united response as a community". 

In a statement, the Berriz Feminist Movement has strongly denounced the attack and expressed its pain, anger and anger atthe fact that such events do not stop. "We strongly denounce this expression of male violence. It hurts and irritates us that such serious attacks continue to occur. We do not accept or tolerate any expression of violence against women."

Meanwhile, the man arrestedin Berriz on charges of attempting to stab his wife, K, is still in the home of the Ertzaintza waiting to be brought before the judge, according to the Basque Government's Department of Security. 

The attempted murder occurred around 07:20 yesterday morning, when the Ertzaintza received a telephone call warning that a woman was being stabbed in a house in Berriz. The couple's four children and a neighbor have managed to stop the attack.

When the patrols arrived, the 38-year-old victimwas in a serious conditioninside the house  and had several stab wounds, and one of the victim's daughters,a 15-year-old\u00A0, was slightly injured by the father.

The 48-year-old man was arrested in the street by the Ertzaintza on charges ofattempted murder .

On the other hand, convened by the Berango City Council, a rally will be held this afternoon to denounce the murder of Amaia, who on1 April was allegedly murdered by her partner in Basauri but was born in Berango. 

Last Saturday, the Bilbao Guard Court released theman arrested in Basauri for his alleged involvement in the death of his partner.
