On Saturday afternoon, the Ertzaintza opened an investigation into a knife attack in Bilbao, resulting in a man being injured and taken to Basurto hospital.
According to the Department of Safety and Security, around 3 p.m., the Ertzaintza has been alerted to the presence of a wounded man in Bilbao La Vieja, whose 33-year-old victimhad stab wounds and has been taken to Basurto Hospital.
An investigation has since been opened to determine the circumstances in which the confrontation took place and to identify the perpetrator of the attack.
