The 81-year-old man who was seriously injured on Monday when he was hit by a car in Vitoria died , according to local police sources.
The accident occurred minutes after 14:00, attheheight of San Viator Street 1. As a result, the elderly man was left unconscious on the ground. He was initially treated at the site by health personnel from a mobile UVI and then taken to Txagorritxu Hospital, where he died hours later.
The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of theaccident, but, according to sources, "it may have occurred at the pedestrian pass at that point."
