The Ertzaintza has opened an investigation to determine the identity and cause of death of a corpse that has appeared next to the road in the Arkotxa district of Zaratamo (Bizkaia).
The body was found at 4.30 p.m., as confirmed by the Basque Government's Department of Security.
For the time being, the victim has not been identified and the body has been transferred to the Anatomical Court of Bilbao for an autopsy.
The body was found on the edge of the Txomin Egileor road, next to several abandoned industrial pavilions.
The area has been inspected and the road has been closed during the process.
The Ertzaintza keeps the investigation open to clarify what happened.
