A person has been injured in a fire allegedly caused in a pavilion in the Herrera district of San Sebastian
Three other people have been treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. According to the first investigations, the fire appears to have been intentional. The Municipal Police have arrested several people and have not ruled out further arrests, as the investigation is still open.
One person has been injured in the fire that occurred shortly before midnight in one of the occupied pavilions of Herrera, in the former Zardoya factory in San Sebastián. The injured person has been taken to Donostia Hospital and three others have been treated on site for smoke inhalation.
The fire started in the Jolastokieta area, at the top of the Herrera neighborhood, in a room in one of the buildings where the homeless are, and the firefighters managed to control it quickly.
A number of persons have already been arrested by the Municipal Police, which does not rule out further arrests, since the investigation is open, and has also taken testimony from several witnesses to clarify the facts.
The fire took place in the former industrial facilities of Zardoya Otis. Most of the buildings are abandoned.
