Three young men are being investigated in Vitoria for assaulting a man who was trying to force him to take off his Spanish team shirt
The incident took place early Saturday morning in the festive grounds of the Aranbizkarra district.
Three men aged 22, 30 and 32 have been identified and charged with hate crimes, minor injury and coercion for assaulting and threatening a person wearing a Spanish football team shirt, according to the Basque Department of Security.
The events took place in the early morning hours of Saturday, when agents of the Ertzaintza went to the festive compound in the Aranbizkarra district of Vitoria-Gasteiz, where a citizen reported having been attacked by a group.
According to the victim, the group surrounded him and began pushing and threatening him, after which he alerted the Ertzaintza.
Patrols on the scene have identified and charged three persons with minor bodily harm and coercion, as well as a hate crime.
