A rally took place this Friday in Donostia-San Sebastián to condemn the sexual assault on a minor in a candy shop in the capital of Guipuzcoana.
The protest, convened by the Socialist Women's Organization Itaia and the Amara Berri Youth Assembly, took place at 7 p.m. in the Plaza de la Ferrería in the Amara district of Donostia-San Sebastián.
Participants have been placed behind a banner reading "Against Macho Violence: It's Time to Take to the Streets," with signs of rejection of sexual assault and demand for justice.
In a statement read during the protest, the summoners have warned that "it is essential to strengthen the fight against male violence ; and in this regard, we would like to stress the need to combat reactionary speeches that deny machismo: because it involves the normalization of male violence eta, thereby increasing impunity for the aggressors."
They add that we must "organize support and fight against male violence, it is essential to position ourselves against male violence, resisting every aggression and taking to the streets against them."
