A 22-year-old man dies on Zurriola beach
For unknown reasons, he fell into the water while fishing between Zurriola and Monpas.
A 22-year-old man died this afternoon on the beach of La Zurriola de Donostia-San Sebastián, as confirmed by the Basque Government's Department ofSecurity to EiTB. Emergency services received a warning at 6.40 p.m. that a person had fallen into the water. This source reported that while fishing with another person, for unknown reasons, he had fallen into the water between Zurriola and Monpas.
Emergency services have mobilized firefighters, Ertzaintza and Red Cross.
The body was finally rescued from the water by the fire brigade, and although health workers tried to revive the man, he died instantly.
