Iran chooses Khamenei's successor, but does not disclose his name, and Israel says it will attack him

Two members of the Iranian Conference of Experts declared on Sunday that they have elected the country's new top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda, a member of the Committee of Experts, has said that "the leadership has already been elected and the leader has been determined." This group, composed of 88 clerics, is elected at the ballot box every four years.

It is now up to Ayatollah Hashem Hosseini Bushehri, who is responsible for the secretariat of the Conference of Experts, to "publicly announce the decision" of the clerics, added Alamolhoda, quoted by various Iranian media.
