For the seventh consecutive day, the Basque Country experienced a suffocating heat and summer temperatures in May. This Wednesday, the highest values were recorded in the inner valleys of the Cantabrian ledge and, in many weather stations, the recordsof May were once again broken.
Today's maximum temperature has been recorded in Llodio (Álava). Early in the afternoon, the Gardea station has reached 38.5 ° C. In addition, Bergara (Gipuzkoa) has recorded 37.3 ° C, Amurrio (Álava) 36.8 ° C, Mañaria (Bizkaia) 35.7 ° C and Arrasate (Gipuzkoa) 35.4 ° C.

According to Euskalmet, temperatures will be around 34 ° C in the interior valleys of the Cantabrian and around the Ebro, and 29 ° C on the coast.
In Navarre, AEMET will activate the yellow warning from 14:00 to 20:00 in the Ribera for high temperatures, where maximum temperatures are expected to be around 36 degrees.
In the French Basque Country, temperatures are expected to be around 30 degrees along the coast and 33 degrees inland.
