Italian designer Giorgio Armani died at the age of 91
Designer Giorgio Armani died this Thursday, September 4, at the age of 91.
He, who as Lord Armani was known "with respect and admiration" among the workers and auxiliaries, died peacefully, accompanied by those around him.
Over the years, Giorgio Armani built a vision that spread from fashion to every aspect of life, anticipating the times with extraordinary clarity and pragmatism.
The designer's inexhaustible curiosity and deep attention to the present and to people led him to establish an open dialogue with the public and to become a loved and respected person because of his ability to connect with everyone.
"Always attentive to the needs of the community, he was active on many fronts, especially helping his beloved Milan," Armani said.
Giorgio Armani is a company with 50 years of history. The group has stressed that independence, thought and action, was always the designer's personal stamp.
The Company is today and always the embodiment of that spirit, and its family and workers will carry it forward in respect for and continuity of those values.
The burning chapel will be in Milan from 6 to 7 September, Saturday, Sunday, inside the Armani Theatre. According to Giorgio Armani's express wishes, it will be held in private.
