Alex of the Church immerses himself in animation, inspired by the work of Lovecraft

Bilbaine director Alex ofthe Church enters the world of animation with Ages of Madness: The Howling of the Jinn, inspired by the work of American writer H.P. Lovecraft (1890 – 1937), who will cross the borders of terror, starting production at the end of this year.
3Doubles Productions and Volcanic Island will make the film together, and depending on the advanced information, they will spin different stories, located in different places and times.
Theywill be stories taken from the book of Necronomico n fiction, linking madness, death and unimaginable tragedies with each other, using animation.
A strange and fascinating aesthetic.
In a statement, the Canarian producer 3Doubles explained that the film director will debut in the world of adult animation. "The H.P. Lovecraft universe will reach the big screen with 3D animation and a curious and fascinating aesthetic that only De la Iglesias can create. Four eras, a forbidden book and an old knot about to unveil," says the note.
For his part, the Bilbaine director has stated that he has "always" been thinking about trying out the genre of animation. "Before making films, I was drawing monsters, "he said.
"Nowadays, the best directors are working on terror because it's the freest, most unconnected genre that lets you do whatever you want," says thecreator of films like The Day of the Beast, The Community or Sad Trumpet Ballad.
