Franco-Iranian artist Marjane Satrapi, author of the comic book and film 'Persepolis', died at the age of 56, her relatives reported on Thursday.
"Marjane Satrapi has died of sadness, just over a year after the death of her beloved husband Mattias Ripa," his relatives have stated in France Info, producer, actor and screenwriter, who died on April 8, 2025.
Satrapi gained international notoriety with his graphic autobiography 'Persepolis', where he picked up his childhood in Iran during the Islamic revolution and adapted that work to the cinema in 2007.
