The jeltzale party has pointed out that the Euskera needs an agreement, "which is the important thing now" and has acknowledged that, although it has been negotiating with other parties for months to reach such an agreement, they need more time. "Our proposal aims to promote the use of the Euskera and to shield the OPE from legal security," he has argued.
The PNV will ask the Bureau of the Basque Parliament to extend the deadline for amending the Public Employment Act, known as the Euskera Act.
As EITB has learned, the party will propose a two-week extension, which will require the approval of the bureau. In addition to the representatives of the PNV, there are representatives of EH Bildu and PSE-EE.
