Reactions of political parties to the Supreme Court's decision on the Grandchildren 'Act
The PP and Vox, for their part, applaud the fact that those who have obtained nationality through the 'grandchildren's law' will not be able to vote in the November 29 election.
The Supreme Court's decision to suspend cautiously thevoting rights of those who acceded to Spanish citizenship under the so-called "grandchildren's law" has provoked a long string of reactions. Therefore, as requested by Vox's appeal, they will not be able to vote in the general election on 29 November.
The PSOE respects the decision, but does not share it.
The PSOE spokeswoman, Montse Minguez, said on Tuesday that although her party respects the Supreme's decision, it does not share the suspension of the voting rights of those who acceded to Spanish citizenship under the so-called 'grandchildren's law'.
In his interview at RNE, he regretted the decision because those affected had voted in other elections and had been denied a fundamental right by depriving them of the right to vote.
PP: "There is no democratic purity without a clean census."
Feijóo recalled that the Central Electoral Board (JEC) warned that this instruction was against the law and added that it is the body that must ensure "the cleanliness of the census." "There is no democratic cleansing if there is no census cleansing," he warned.
EH Bildu tacha the decision of "aberrant"
The PNV calls for "celeridad"
