Andueza has claimed that the PSE-EE is "ready to lead the Basque Country."
The Secretary-General of the Basque Socialists has highlighted their role at all levels of government and has said that they have the greatest capacity to take the lead in a new era of stability, progress and cohesion.
The PSE-EE celebrated the Feast of the Rose in Durango on Saturday, seven years after its last edition, with a strong message from its Secretary General, Eneko Andueza, that "the Basque socialists are ready to lead the Basque Country." At an event held in Landako, Andueza has placed his party as a "fundamental pillar of Basque politics" and as a "guarantee of progressive policies."
The socialist leader recalled the historic militants and the murdered leaders, who he described as "leaders and leaders" of current politics.
"The Basque Country would not be the same without us," said Andueza, highlighting the measures promoted by the PSE-EE in the areas of housing, public transport, trade, tourism and human rights.
The leader of the Basque socialists has stressed that the PSE-EE represents the "useful left" and "political centrality" and is able to make the commitments of the elections a reality.
With regard to the institutional future, Andueza has advocated a new autonomy statute that blurs rights and freedoms, but has ruled out becoming a path to independence.
The Secretary-General of the PSE-EE has stressed that the problems of the Basque Country are not solved with more competences, but with better management of existing ones. In this regard, he has said that they must strengthen public health, improve education, promote industrial policy with European funds and expand the public housing stock.
In view of the forthcoming municipal and foral elections, Andueza has called on the militants not to relax and to continue to show that the PSE-EE is "a party that literally fulfils its commitments and knows how to work for the Basques."

The goal is clear: for the Basque Country to have a socialist lehendakari again. "
"The goal is clear: Euskadi has a socialist lehendakari again, "said Andueza, convinced that his party" understands Euskadi best. "
He also recalled the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and described him as a 'world leader'who has been able to respond with social democratic prescriptions to the latest crises.
Andueza referred to several achievements of the Spanish socialist government, including strengthening pensions, raising the minimum wage, creating jobs and achieving an 'Iberian exception' in the energy sector.
On the other hand, the PSE-EE Secretary General has charged the right with not having a project and has accused Alberto Núñez Feijóoofturning the PP into a "factory of far-right voters" , in contrast to which the socialists have brought stability and good management.
"A free Palestine"
Eneko Andueza also referred to the situation in Palestine and praised the work and decisions taken by the Spanish Government, which, in his view, were "the first" to recognize the State of Palestine and denounce Israel's "barbarism" in the Gaza Strip.
"We call genocide what is genocide, what is also extermination. We say that war and violence will stop once and for all, that they are not the solution. The Basque socialists say it stronger than ever, because we know perfectly well what it is to try to violate human rights, to try to destroy someone. I want a free Palestine, a peaceful Palestine."
