José Ángel Agirrebengoa, former president of the Napar Buru Batzar (NBB), died this Sunday from a long illness.
Born inAlsasua(1952), Agirrebengoa was a member of the National Assembly of EAJ-PNVbetween 1987 and 1991, member of the Napar Buru Batzar (1991-2003), mayor of Alsasua (1995-1999) and councillor of the City Council for several legislatures, as well as member of the Foral Parliament of Nafarroa Baiduring the 2007-2011 legislature.
The news of his death has been accompanied by words of thanks from the jeltzale party. The PNV of Navarre has stated that Agirreben's was a "committed, coherent and forward-looking person . "
