The Loiu City Council Spokespersons Board(Bizkaia)has "firmly and unequivocally" condemned the paintingsagainstMayor Andoni Begoria (PNV) that appeared in the municipality this weekend.
The local institution met this morning, as a matter of urgency, to agree on an institutional declaration, approved with the votes of the PNV and the PP and not supported by EH Bildu. In the text they report that , painted "against the integrity of people" appeared on Saturday night in different parts of Loiu, "including threats and coercion."
Instead of "silencing or downplaying" the facts, the Loiu City Council Spokespersons Board believes that they should be condemned because in "they do not tolerate coercion or threats against anyone, let alone against people who represent all citizens and have been democratically elected. "
According to the municipal organization, the paintings are "manifestations of violence that undermine coexistence and only reflect the nature of those who make them: totalitarian attitudes, which they understand as a way of making fear and a policy of coercion".
