The victims of 3 March in Vitoria-Gasteiz will be remembered in a special way today on the 50th anniversary of the massacre
The central event will take place at 17:00 in the monolith in the Zaramaga district, organized by the Martxoak 3 association and the unions ELA, LAB, ESK and Steilas, and then at 18:30 a march will take place from the New Cathedral to the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, while in the morning an institutional event will take place called by the Gogora Institute.

Everyanniversary of the March 3 massacre is special for the victims, but this year will be even more heartfelt. It's 50 years since the Spanish police attacked the workers gathered in the church of San Francisco de Assisi and shot five workers.
As every year, the main meeting point of the tributeswill be the monolith in memory of the deceased workers Pedro María Martínez Ocio, Francisco Aznar, Romualdo Barroso, José Castillo and Bienvenido Pereda, located in the neighborhood of Zaramaga, where various social partners and political representatives will make floral offerings.

The March 3 Association, in collaboration with the unions ELA, LAB, ESK and Steilas, will be the main tribute, at 17:00, and is open to all citizens. Then, at 18:30, a march has been organized from the New Cathedral, where the funerals for the deceased workers were held 50 years ago, to the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.
In the morning, the Institutefor Peace, Coexistence and Human Rights, Gogora Memoria, Coexistence and Human Rights, chaired by its president, Imanol Pradales, has organized an institutional event to which a broad representation of institutions, parties and trade unions will also attend, together with the victims of the massacre and their families, which will take place at 10 a.m. at the Villa Suso Palace.
On the other hand, the Socialist Movement, on the one hand, and the youth organizations Ikama and Ernai, on the other, have called you various mobilizations.
