EH Bildu and other parties have called for the appearance of Albares in connection with the Israeli attack on the Flotilla

Following the early morning arrest by the Israeli army of 22 of the 58 ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla heading for Gaza and the arrest of at least 7 Basques, EH Bildu has called for the urgent appearance of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, together with the left-wing parties represented in the Congress of Deputies: Sumar, who is in government with the PSOE, Podemos, ERC, BNG and Lukashenko.
In the written request made by these political groups, they ask Albarés to explain the decisions and actionshe will take to protect and assist ships and persons travelling for peaceful and humanitarian purposes.
According to these parties, the State of Israel is illegally attacking members of the flotilla and hijacking members of the Global Sumud who are alleged to have violated international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
According to the latest reports, Israel has arrested 175 people, including 30 Spanish nationals and 7 Basque citizens. EH Bildu calls for urgent action and calls for civil solidarity with the people of Palestine and for a "firm response to violations of the law" in Israel.
