On Friday, the Basque Government's Department of Security condemned the public commentsmade by an ertzaina in connection with the incidents that took place on 23 May at Loiu airport (Bizkaia) at the reception of activists from the Global Sumud fleet.
In a statement, the Department of Safety and Security explained that this morning the Ertzaintza received a warning about the appearance of posterswiththe image of an ertzaina in the vicinity of a school in Leioa and the message "This is the zipayo responsible for the device that was shelved by the human flotilla."
According to the department, after the incidents at Loiu airport,thesame officer was pointed out in the social s, which was reported to the prosecution by the Department of Safety and Security, so there is already a complaint .
It has also notified its legal services of the new public marking to act against the perpetrators, and the Ertzaintza has opened an investigation to find out who or who has placed these posters.
The Department of Safety and Security has described these indications as "serious" and has shown solidarity with the officer concerned, as well as its support for all members of the Ertzaintza.
Furthermore, the Security Adviser has reiterated what he said at his hearing in the Basque Parliament on 26 May: 'We will not allow the digital and physical hunting of ertzainas, public representatives or militants'.
