The Spanish Government-Community Sectoral Conference on Children will focus on minors in Ceuta and those responsible for Vox will not attend

The Ministry of Youth and Children will meet with the Autonomous Communities on Thursdayat a sectoral conference at which a vote will be taken on the transfer of EUR 25 million to Ceuta for the care of minors remaining in the autonomous city following the massive entry of 30 and 31 July.
The Spanish Government estimates that 1,500 minors have so far been identified in Ceuta and is working on a plan to transfer 500 girls to other Autonomous Communities as a matter of urgency.
This Thursday's meeting is expected to be tense due to the political climate of these days. Unlike the committee held a few weeks ago, the Children's Officials of Aragón, Castilla y León and Extremadura will not attend; in these communities there is the PP in the government and Vox carries the Children's sections.
In two letters addressed to the Minister for Youth and Children, Sira Rego, Vox's advisers confirmed their plea to the Spanish Government and announced that they will challenge judicially the possibility of transferring minors from Ceuta.
Rego has criticized that by opposing this $25 million loan, the PP's self-governing presidents who carry Vox's childhood portfolios "elect Vox and exclude Ceuta and (Juan Jesús) President Vivas."
In addition to the transfer of EUR 25 million from the Spanish Government to Ceuta, an information point on the situation of migrant children in the autonomous city to be voted on by the Autonomous Communities has been included on the agenda, following the opposition of the communities governed by the PP to this debate.
The Government gave priority to the return of "adults and minors" who have migrated to Ceuta, but recalled the need to respect the best rights of the child as it lays down special conditions. The Ministry of Bears is working on a plan to relocate 500 children from the autonomous city of Ceuta to the peninsula.
Amnesty International, for its part, has called for the removal of minors from the "political struggle" and has urged the autonomous governments to facilitate the relocation of children who have migrated to Ceuta alone.
