A study led by the UPV has identified "hundreds" of markers on the risk of a serious saliva disease
This study could allow the development of a "powerful and non-invasive tool for early diagnosis and precision medicine" and in many cases replace blood tests.
"Saliva is one of the most accessible biological fluids, but it is still underutilized in clinical practice," says José Ramón Bilbao, professor of Medical Genetics at the UPV and lead author of the study.
