According to Macron, the US president has confirmed by videoconference that NATO will not be involved in Ukraine's security guarantees. Moreover, the French president has explained that Trump has assured them that only Zelensky will negotiate the territories that Ukraine is supposed to cede to Russia.

The United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Greece and Slovenia have warned of the danger to the hostages and have stressed that the humanitarian situation in Gaza would worsen.

"This is the best way to accelerate the end of this war," the Israeli Prime Minister said, adding that there is no famine in Gaza and that everything is "a campaign of distortion."

The Palestine Action Group has been legally classified as a "terrorist organization" in the United Kingdom since July, following the vandalisation of two aircraft at a local air force military base.

Although it is not an agreement that the Vitoria Government would like, Economic Advisor Mikel Torres has admitted that the pact offers some certainty.

Confebask's economic leader, Pablo Martín, believes that the tariff agreement reached by the European Union  and the United States is "bad news" because "Basque companies will have difficulty competing." He sees only one positive aspect: that "after months of uncertainty, we know what to expect." However, he has advanced that it will have a significant impact on "relevant sectors for the Basque industry, such as steel, automotive, machine tools and the wine industry."

The Basque Government considers the agreement to be 'bittersweet' because it will cost Basque export companies an extra EUR 350 million. European stock exchanges have woken up with an increase of around 1%.
