The Irun City Council, in plenary session, has initially approved the Ordinance providing for 30 exemptions and has opened the deadline for allegations, the final text of which will be adopted in the last quarter of this year. 

The Public Prosecutor's Office has decided to release one of them and put the youngest in a facility.

The Basque Country has claimed to be the "northern border" and has called for "certainty" before the European Migration and Asylum Treaty.

The detainee was taken into custody this morning, and this afternoon the judge ordered him to be sent to Martutene prison.

When he was working on Pikoketa Street, a driver broke his jaw and spilled in one eye during the attack by several people.

Last Thursday, the Ertzaintza arrested a 29-year-old man in Irun after being caught manipulating machines in a gambling hall. At the time of his arrest, he was carrying more than 31,000 euros that he had stolen that day and another similar robbery the previous day in another premises in San Sebastian.

The defence, for its part, has requested the acquittal of the accused on the grounds that the teacher had only a "friendly" relationship with the alleged victims and had not committed any crime.

The Public Prosecutor's Office is requesting 22 years' imprisonment for this teacher, accused of making proposals for three children aged 13 and 15 to have sex in exchange for money or gifts.

The train service has been interrupted by the installation of the third rail in the Astigarraga-Irun section. Renfe will offer a bus service to ensure passenger transit. In addition, the Loiola station will remain closed until mid-April. 

The Ertzaintza keeps the investigation open to determine whether the detainee has been involved in similar acts in the last two months, which have caused various damage to vehicles and urban furniture.

On the other hand, they applaud the acquittal of seven people who were prosecuted for helping 36 migrants cross the border on the first day of the Korrika two years ago, as a "beautiful victory."

As reported on Thursday by the Basque Government's Department of Security, the victims have received notice of violations due to poor parking in Hendaia during the summer season.  

In March 2024, 36 migrants crossed the Santiago de Irun bridge with Korrika and with the help of several activists, seven of whom were prosecuted by the French justice system, for whom he requested a penalty of up to 10 years and a fine of 250,000 euros.

The event took place last night in the municipality of Gipuzkoa, when a citizen saw two men robbing a vehicle wash area and when the officers left, one of them jumped into the water, while the other, a 31-year-old male, was arrested.
