Teresa Peramato, a career prosecutor who has been in the Public Prosecutor's Office for 35 years and has the "unanimous approval" of legal operators, has a long history, especially in the fight against gender-based violence, and is considered one of the "greatest drivers" of judicial specialization in this field.

The Spanish Government has taken the step hours after Alvaro García Ortiz resigned from office. The Supreme Court has sentenced him to two years' disqualification.

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, has been asked about the information published by the newspaper 'El Español'  in Luanda, Angola, about the meeting between Arnaldo Otegi, Santos Cerdán and three to agree to a motion of censure, which the president has denied.

The lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, calls for the reparation and recognition of the injustice committed by the Spanish State during the dictatorship. In his words, "the State still owes a great deal to the recognition of the injustices suffered by the Basque Country in the past".

The President of the Spanish Government has recalled on social media the 50th anniversary of Franco's death.

According to government sources, the process to replace García Ortiz will begin in the next few days.

The Official Secrets Act of 1968 was born within the framework of the Franco dictatorship, and although 50 years have passed since the death of the dictator, its reform has not yet been carried out. The regime of official secrets in force in the Spanish State empowers the Council of Ministers and the Council of Chiefs of Staff to classify information that may endanger the security and defence of the State into two categories: secret and reserved.
