Agents of the Ertzaintza arrested a 31-year-old man in Bilbao this afternoon for his alleged involvement in the violent death of a 21-year-old on Fika Street in the capital of Bilbao on Sunday.
The Basque Department of Security has reported that the Ertzaintza is continuing investigations to clarifythe death of a 21-year-old man who died yesterday in Bilbao as a result of a knife attack.
Around 6:45 this Sunday, a police presence was requested on Fika Street in the Solokoetxe neighbourhood of the capital of Biscay, as a result of an altercation in the street and a person was injured.
Patrols displaced to the scene found a young man wounded by a knife in the chest while being treated by the health services, and shortly thereafter he was taken to Cruces Hospital, where he died.
The Ertzaintza is conducting an investigation to clarify the incident and to locate and arrest the perpetrator or perpetrators of the murder.
