The flames broke out on Saturday at 21:42 in a pine grove on the plain of Larrate, near the road to Figarol. Workers from the fire parks of Tafalla, Sangüesa, Tudela, Peralta, Cordovilla and Estella, the Helitransporta Forest Fire Brigade and the Environmental Guard have worked all night with the help of a bulldozer, the Tetra Telecommunications Unit and the Foral Police.
Yesterday the Second Operational Situation of the Forest Fire Plan of Navarre (INFONA) was activated, in which six helicopters (two of them from the BRIF of Daroca (Zaragoza) and four aircraft are involved, including one coordinated by the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), as well as one hydroplane and two ground cargo aircraft.
The harvest in the surrounding fields is united, and the Navarre Government has indicated that there is no risk of the fire spreading to inhabited areas, and that land and air work has continued at night to try to close the fire with the help of air assets.
