The N-1 road will be completely cut off on Friday night in both directions between Villabona and Irura to enable a walkway that will pass over it, starting at 22:00 and extending until 06:00 in the morning, during which time traffic will be diverted along the roads of the industrial areas adjacent to the road.
According to the note published by the Sustainability Department of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the total closure of the N-1 will be due to the installation of the pedestrian and bicycle crossing between Villabona and Irura.
Traffic will be cut "to ensure safety while the metal structure is lifted and placed."
At 22:00 hours the traffic will be cut in the direction of Vitoria-Gasteiz to enter the crane and place it in its rightful place, then the sense of San Sebastián will be cut off so that the special transport that will bring the structure will enter. The assembly work is expected to begin around 23:30 and, once all is completed, traffic will be restored before 6:00.
