The man arrested by the Ertzaintza for holding his sick mother in a house in Bilbao has been released on charges after testifying before the judge.
According to the Basque Government's Department of Security, the 60-year-old man was arrested by the Ertzaintza on charges of domestic abuse, illegal detention, family abandonment and animal abuse.
The detainee was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon and has been released on charges.
