The Basque Government presents the Mugiment Bureau for the promotion of physical activity and well-being
Mugiment Bureau aims to create social change by creating synergies and working in a coordinated manner.
The Minister of Culture and Linguistic Policy, Ibone Bengoetxea ,has presented at the Zelaieta Centre in Amorebieta-Etxano the Mugiment Mahaia project, which is based on a forum to promote the physical activity and comprehensive well-being of Basque society.
Bengoetxea stresses that the Mesa Mugiment will be a coordination and advisory forum The plan has already been shared by the Government in the Governing Council and in the Basque Parliament and has now been submitted to the Bureau for input.
Bengoetxea has explained that the functioning of the forum will be mainly of two types: individual meetings with each of the actors, as well as group meetings for discussion and discussion on specific topics. The Bureau as a whole will meet at least twice a year, coinciding with the publication of annual monitoring and evaluation reports.
Together with the Counsellor, the Director of Physical Activity and Sport, Gorka Iturriaga, has presented the basis of the Mugiment 2025-2030 Action Plan and has reported on the computer application, which will serve to interactively monitor the commitments made by all the actors involved in the Plan, so thatpersonalized monitoring of each commitment can be carried out.
In the coming months, the Basque Government will meet individually with all the actors and institutions that make up the Mugiment Bureau to collect their contributions to the Plan, and the Bureau will meet again in the first quarter of 2026 to share the data of the Basque Government's annual report.
