The Basque Government will test its disaster warning system in Álava on Thursday
On devices located in Álava, an alert sound will be heard, accompanied by a message indicating that it is a test and not a real risk situation.
The Basque Government, through the Es-Alert system, will conduct a drill next Thursday , November 13. It aims to be a useful tool for warning the population in the event of an emergency or major disaster.
The Basque Country Emergency Coordination Centre (SOS Deiak) will send awarning at 12 noon to any mobile phone connected to the Álava antennas. In addition to the warning sound,a reassuring message will be sentexplaining that this is a test in Basque, Spanish and English.
It will be the third drill in the Basque Country, held in some neighborhoods of Bilbao in November 2022 and recently on October 2, in Balmaseda.
